Meet the Team: Powell McCaleb

It’s time again to introduce a new CDFL employee, or as we like to think of ourselves, the “us” in the Power of Plus. This week we are proud to introduce the newest member of our engineering team, Powell McCaleb.

What is one thing people should know about Mechanical Engineering?
It’s a very diverse engineering field. Mechanical engineering gets to dabble in all of the engineering fields. It’s never boring, and there’s always something new to learn.

What project are you currently working on?
Hinds County Detention System

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
During the Summer I enjoy playing golf whenever I have free time. During the Fall, I get back into hunting mode and spend most of my time, when I’m not in the office, outside.

What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is hiking! I am a huge national parks enthusiast and I try to go on at least one major hike a year.

What is one snack you like to keep at your desk at all times? 
Sunflower seeds. I’m addicted to them since I played baseball for most of my life
