The strong repetitive linear patterns of the office segments of this four-building corporate campus, linked by a series of highly articulated entrance hubs, lobbies and atriums, capture the sense of motion and connectivity that characterizes MCI’s world-class culture. The design incorporates key elements important to the building’s users, including open floor plans, access to exterior views, blending the campus with the landscape of the surrounding plazas and lake, and ease of flow throughout the 85-acre site and 560,000-square feet of office space. Extensive pre-planning meetings with the client gained a full understanding of their ideas and office needs, and resulted in design directions that created improved communication and efficiency among the employees.
