With offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Tupelo, Gulfport, Houston, Tampa, and London, the prestigious law firm of Phelps Dunbar LLP turned to Cooke Douglass Farr Lemons to create a distinctive environment for their new Jackson relocation project. The primary design goals were to present a striking professional presence, to nurture a highly interactive working relationship between the attorneys, paralegals and administrative assistants, and to maximize space utilization. All public areas and conference rooms face a single corridor looping a dramatic six-story atrium, enhancing inter-office communication while infusing the space with natural light. A study in luxury and style, the client-contact areas within the 45,170-square foot facility incorporate a palette of mahogany millwork, marble floors and countertops, and backlit onyx accents.
