Isle of Capri Hotel/Casino
Biloxi, MS
This 17-story convention hotel facility, providing 375 luxury rooms along with new meeting areas, restaurants, retail and parking, affords a magnificent view of Deer Island and the Gulf of Mexico. The project combines dining, gaming, recreation, meeting, hospitality and parking facilities into a single resort complex. On top of the challenges associated with a fast-track ten-month design and construction schedule, there was the added challenge of building onto, around and above an occupied casino. Proper planning allowed the gaming facility, also designed by CDFL, to remain open throughout the hotel construction process without losing a single day of operation.
