Hitchcock Field at Plainsman Park

Auburn University

Hitchcock Field at Plainsman Park is hailed by Baseball America Magazine as the best collegiate baseball facility in the country. A vocabulary of exposed steel trusses and columns, arched brick façade, metal roofing, wrought iron fencing and slatted seats creates the feel and character of an old-time traditional ballpark and maintains an architectural continuity with adjacent campus structures.

Completed in three phases, the ballpark seats 3,386 in the grandstands and press box, plus an additional 750 on Tiger Hill, a tiered lawn area along the left field line. The playing field is a quirky asymmetrical design highlighted by a 30-foot high left field wall. Stadium amenities include full press and broadcast facilities, VIP seating, team clubhouse, administrative offices, indoor batting cages, and a large strength and rehabilitation center.
