Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium

CDFL was retained to perform a feasibility study and provide full architectural services for a phased transformation of a 1960-era stadium into a state-of-the-art facility to serve local university football programs and other public events. Improvements to Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium include new utility distribution systems, new entrance and concourse facilities, new accessible seating platforms, new locker room facilities and new administrative offices.
A new north entrance plaza establishes a dynamic gathering point for entering the stadium. Steel canopies suspended from concrete pylons signal ticketing and entry points, playful ornamental steel fencing provides security and an attractive image, and new spectator amenities are provided in widened concourses. Future phases will renovate and expand additional concourses and add a new and larger press box with private box seating.
