Capitol Complex

The “Capitol Complex” project is a massive undertaking by the State of Mississippi. A joint venture of CDFL, Eley Associates, and Dale Partners Architects, (CED), the team provided programming, architectural design, site design, and project management. The three firms have been working together on the complex since 1992.

The project includes design and construction of new buildings as well as the renovation of existing buildings surrounding the State Capitol in the heart of downtown Jackson. CDFL has specifically provided architectural, interior design, land planning and mechanical engineering services.

The complex was completed on December 17, 2017, in conjunction with Mississippi’s bicentennial celebration and the opening of the state history museum and the first-ever state funded civil rights museum.
